if you should have clicked to often for re-upload or something like that, that reaction would be normal to try again the system will block less 24 hours. During an upload process you cannot intervenire.

That's a kind of safetyness that the system won't be misused by third.

My experience sometimes I had to wait 48 hours till I got access again if I where in midth in item troubles. And in these holy days and New Years Day I suppose no technical staff will lurk behind...

ElJay.

// P.S.: Maybe a tip for the future. Meanwhile I prepare my items with a very, very small audio file upload, a kind of "dummy" which durates only seconds of uploading.
Then I fill all the data blank fields to fix the whole structure of a new item. This preperation you have to proceed via web browser simply. Then I let quiet down the whole system a couple of days and later on if I want to upload a bigger data file, I only need to use FTP, which is more stabil and quicker upload. Hereby I do not change anything of the datas within the item front page anymore. That fits my needs better to be ready in time for a specific time schedule. (Rec.: I have to be because my radio shows are broadcasted fixed date and my PodCast Mp3 files need to be delivered in time. //

I can't comment on where your file is (though I still can't read any files from the page you reference). I too have been having intermittent periods when uploads just don't work. I know we're not paying for the service, and I appreciate that they may have lives over Christmas and all, but if they want people to upload free cultural stuff, the system really needs to be a bit more reliable than it is -- and there needs to be some information about the problems, and what is being done to fix them.

At the moment it's not clear where to go to get timely information, or even that there is any way to raise issues with the good folk at archive.org.

If ANYONE AT ALL knows what is going on, or how we can find out even an indication of whether they know of an issue or not, and maybe when they might get round to looking at it, I'd love to know.

I think the project is a great idea (and I'm sure it's underfunded), but some information would make life for the contributers A LOT less frustrating.

Help!

-----

Problems:

Quite often (repeatedly now) the temp upload domain won't resolve - like the entries are not making it into the zone files, or DNS for that zone is down or something. eg, ia311506.us.archive.org

When you upload a file, no files are visible on the results page, after it claims to have completed (you just get metadata): http://www.archive.org/details/windsor-baptist-2007-12-16-am/

Help, please!!!

Where do we go for information?
